I was anxious about buying a scooter without ever laying eyes on it, however, I decided to take a chance on this one. What furthered my anxiety was the fact that no one had written a review. Fortunately, things arrived and the product seems to be pretty good.First of all, I watched a bunch of YouTube videos that either reviewed the product or demonstrated its assembly. From this web research, I learned to inspect the freight when it arrives before you sign any paperwork. I had read reviews on other sites that talked about their scooter being speared by a fork lift. My scooter was in perfect condition. The box it came in was comprised of angle iron, and it took about as long to take the frame apart as it did to put the scooter together.
The assembly of the scooter takes about two hours. If I had my tools ready, wasn't watching tutorial videos, and had an extra set of hands, it probably would have taken around a half an hour. I really suggest having someone else around to help. Experience is a cruel teacher.
Once I assembled the scooter, I added some gas and it started up after a few tries. Ever since the initial startup, this thing has started up easily. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up in 30 mph traffic; however, I'm pretty sure I was going forty and speeding through my neighborhood. I was truly surprised.
The cosmetic parts of the scooter, like the fender and fairing, seem to be cheaply made, but the mechanical parts and electrical system seem to be of good quality. Hey, it's a scooter, man. If you are really concerned about that type of stuff, get a Harley.
