These bags are great for extended trips with the klr650. The bags mount well, the Velcro over the seat straps are very secure. The 4 side straps work well. to secure the bags. I've done 2 300+ mile hwy and offroad trips with no issues. I did insert a small tote box into each bag to give the bags shape when they were empty. This worked perfect. The bags are waterproof as stated, Downpour on one trip no leaks. These bags will work with a saddlebag mounting rack or without on the klr. They are very versatile. The expandable size is also a bonus. For the price the bags are worth it.
