black 7/8" ace cafe racer clubman handlebar bar end mirrors grips Review
The bars: powder coated black, symmetrical, and sturdy - everything you need, and they look GREAT!The grips: less-sharp. They are clearly a low-cost option, but they fit the bars, and the ends are removable for the bar-end mirrors.
The only downside is the mirrors: The expanding nut that goes inside the bars is non-reversible. Once the mirror is mounted, it's staying there until you drill them out. Even though the bolt that threads into the expanding bolt comes loose from the vibrations. Plus, the mirror glass is loose in the round frame, so they rattle I missed the "sweet spot" for the screw that holds the mirrors in: too loose, and they rattle. Too tight, and the glass breaks.
I appreciate the optical glass mirrors (instead of the polished metal so common on cheaper mirrors), but I wish the mounting system allow a non-rattle installation.
Tip: Instead of tightening the screw,. take it out, and put a glob of epoxy on the back of the mirror, then re-install it and let the glue set. Voila: no rattles.
