I bought the switch so I could add a second battery to my boat, and I did not want to be stranded in the middle of the lake because we listened to a little too much music while swimming.

Pros: Simple install, the wiring diagram is easy to follow and dummy proof as long as you have a bit of knowledge on how batteries work. Ie positive and negative. The switch itself is robust, the part feels strong and should last longer than the boat. I bought the one with the lock just because it was a buck more.... I don't know if I'll use the lock, but it's good to know it's there.

Cons: the only complaint I have, and it's pretty minor is that it does not come with mounting bolts... I guess the switch can't guess how I'm going to mount it, but some bolts, locking washers and nuts would have been nice and I would not have had to walk around Home Depot with the thing to make sure I can bolts that fit.
