I had an el cheapo vest from Hot Leathers that worked for what it was, but was looking to upgrade to a more quality product. Shopped a local leather store and found the First Classics brand. The touch and feel of it was quality right away. The one at the store was for concealed carry which intrigued me, but the size was wrong. I was going to order it online in the right size, but eventually decided I wasn't really impressed w/ the concealed weapon retention system used: bascially a strip of heavy elastic sewn into the inner pockets. No trigger guard, poor stability and awkward draw position.

This vest is basically that same model w/out the concealed carry. Same heavy grade quality leather, good stitching, sturdy seams, good nylon liner with mesh in places and $30 cheaper. With free shipping you're getting a good leather product for under $100. Can't beat that. There are no outer side pockets on this vest. Two breast pockets and two inner pockets is it. Not really a problem as I use it soley for moto riding and don't use the pockets. Might be an issue for some. Very satisfied.
