Kuryakyn 2286 41mm 2-Piece Fork Mount Review

Bought these clamps for my 2012 VRod because the choices are few and far between for the 58mm inverted fork setup. The clamps worked nicely though I did have to buy new bolts to mount my lights (the kit comes with coarse thread bolts, I needed fine in order to use my stock signals).

I powder coated mine so this wasn't a huge issue for me, but man...the chrome finish is TERRIBLE (see pics). If you're at all anal about the accessories that go on your bike, I'd think about steering well clear of these because the chrome looks as if it were applied by a two year old...in the dark. I know that Kuryakyn can be hit or miss with a lot of their stuff, but this was surprisingly bad. To top it off, my clamps had rust on the backside around each mount hole.

This might be a case for getting what you pay for, but these things were nearly $70 (!) so I don't think I'm being unreasonable in expecting a bit more.
