Raider 02-1402 Snow Thrower Cab Review

I purchased this unit over the others because it was the only one fairly priced with a complete steel tube frame and a shell cover that had good visibility up front. Finding the correct mounting method for my snow thrower took a little time, but that was expected considering this is a universal cab so I was not upset by that.

The problems with this product are:
-The powder coating on the steel tube frame is extremely poor and scrapes off while connecting the steel tube frame together.
-The unit did not assemble correctly. Each pipe of the frame is labeled so you know how to assemble them together correctly (since the manual was completely useless). What you can't see in their example picture is that the top four pipes (L shaped - one from each corner) are supposed to all connect in the middle together with one bolt. The issue that I faced with this is that none of the pipes when pulled into the center were even close to the same height. I double and triple checked the assembly of the cab to make sure I didn't goof along the way somewhere, but everything was correct. So the only way I was able to make it "work" was to just bend the life out of each pipe until I could make all of the pipes, more or less, meet at the same height so the holes would line up enough to force the bolt through to hold them together.

The good things about this product are:
-The cab can be quickly detached
-The cab shell seemed to be of fair quality and has good visibility.
-The steel tubes so far seem strong.

My Conclusion:
Instead of dealing with the hassle and cost of returning this item, I plan on rebuilding the upper half of the frame with my own design - they way I thought/expected this unit to have came.
I absolutely do NOT recommend this product to anyone.
